as a Sojourner he loved sight ..... yet not quite as much as insight .....

a whisper on the wings of the wind.....Morning Glory !!

childhood midsummer afternoons .....you could catch the truth in a net.....

every leaf always had a chance to speak before the conversation was ended...

honour the sacredness of everyday life .....

in the creator's mind's eye there was a depth no one could comprehend .....

it was the place of "not yet" and "no longer" to be overshadowed by the full bloom ..... living in the light  .. knowing what is needed for life...

muted beauty .. a woodland glen shuffling off into November.. the biting distortions of winter brought clarity to my troubled mind...

the fallen leaves had never felt the weight of the winter sky before ... the great escape from the known into the unknown... once again.....

the perishable portrait ...' the grass withers, the flower fades ..... the place was forgotten  .. yet fragments of the memory lingered on ..

the rock in the river ... radical acceptance balanced with radical change ..... the secret passage waited patiently for the sojourner's arrival....

it was the most courageous thing he had ever done , weaving that slender thread into the tapestry of his life .. as a partnership it was destined to end ... but not without beauty

beauty at the edge of autumn ...goldfinch leaves ready to take flight........ every lily was compelled to all it could be .... there was no alternative ....

God knows i only wanted to be a rose ...but the closest i ever got was ... ragamuffin beauty ... he knew the landscape of his life was ever changing .... shaped bty grace

home is a place where your soul can rest .... and return to .... it was the first snow ....and the start of another transformation ..

lengthening shadows mark the hours .... yet sunlight fills the days ... life is short ... but passion is long .... so wherever possible .. go long ...

of heaven ... and earth ... oh, what an opportunity we have ... stick, stick, leaf and stone ...once again becoming ....

sunbeams ... moonbeams  ... wind and rain ... creation was always dancing the sheer audacity and beauty of becoming ...being .. alive in the cosmos ...

the snowflakes held within themselves the memory ...of the mountain stream ... would that not be a fierce and fragile place that God might dwell ... if only for a season ...

and the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters ..... Genesis he was happy to know the truth ...it had set him free....

take time to enjoy your life... you only pass this way once..... the basics seem so transcendently simple ... if you can see with your heart ....

the contrasting weeks of winter ...creating December's new quilt a gentle protector within the realm of books ...

it is impossible to have a small life if your life opens up onto eternity...

why are you creative....

only the wind knows every tree ....

the strength and humility of beauty ..... simple places God may enter and dwell ....

the veins of autumn gold would soon be safely hidden .... in winter's icy vault ....

autumn leaves dancing in the breeze ... the winter wind and earth each have such a deep  passion ....

trillium emerging ...  beauty appropriate to its place ... urban roadkill ... ready for the great Creator's recycling bin of life ... please ...

vulnerable moments ...no longer and not yet ..all part of destiny .. what dwelt in the bottomless depths ... surely only the aged ..only the fools ...and the sages knew for sure ....
